The Costa del Azahar, literally translated Orange Blossom Coast, is still being regarded as part of "real Spain", in contrast to the other "Costa's", especially the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol, but also Costa Dorada and Costa del Garraf. It stretches from the border with Catalunya and the Costa Dorada in the north to Castellon in the south where it borders onto the Costa de Valencia. Carobtree specialises in the northern part of the Costa del Azahar down to Alcossebre.

Here you can still find coastal towns that are not affected by mass tourism, like Vinaros and Benicarlo. Or the slightly more developed and popular Peniscola with its beautiful old town and nice urbanisations like "Las Atalayas" on the hills overlooking the sea and the castle -or "Font Nova" in the nature reserve of the Sierra de Irta. We now also offer property in and around Alcossebre including Las Fuentes and El Pinar.

Go a few miles inland from the Costa and you find yourself in yet another world with hills, mountains, orange and olive groves and lovely little towns and villages like Cervera del Maestre, Canet lo Roig, Sant Jordi, San Rafael del Rio and Chert - and hardly a tourist in sight.

This coastline offers a lot of unspoilt countryside, lively Spanish towns, resorts, characterful little villages, a beautiful golf course in San Jordi ... But the best thing is that no matter in which of these surroundings you choose to live, all the other attractions will only be a short drive from your doorstep!

 

There is a large variety of Costa del Azahar Properties to choose from: Surprisingly there are quite a few country houses and quality villas dotted around the countryside, many of them hidden away, all of them in peaceful surroundings and all of them with easy access to the towns and beaches. On the other hand you can find typical Spanish village houses, for example in Cervera del Maestre and San Rafael del Rio, either for renovation or already refurbished. Then there are holiday apartments, beach villas , plots of land for building a new home (we have now added a selection of plots of land/fincas).
